Programs & Events
The PTA-school partnership offers so many ways to get involved. The calendar is filled with monthly events and many programs are active all year.
Featured Programs & Events
Spelling Bee
The PTA-sponsored Scripps Spelling Bee is open to all students! Last year there was so much competition that the Bee went on until almost midnight so this year the event begins on January 14, 2026 in the RSES Cafeteria at 6:30 PM and concludes with the final rounds on January 15, 2026. Register here! Study material provided. Contact spellingbee@rsespta.org with questions.

Join this National PTA arts program where students showcase their original works through six categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography or visual arts. This year’s theme is “I Belong”. Entries for Rooster Springs are due Friday, November 7th, by 3PM. Projects can be dropped off in the Reflections box located in the school lobby. Entry forms have gone home and are required to submit a project. Visit the Texas PTA Reflections website for more details and rules. Questions? Email Reflections@rsespta.org

SIGNATURE Programs & Events
Advocacy
In support of PTA's mission to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children, we partner with our local DSISD PTA Council as well as Texas PTA on issues/events that advocate for public education in our community.
Healthy Lifestyles
Healthy Body, Healthy Mind, Healthy Earth
Learning Garden
Garden plots are adopted by classes each year. These classes will need parent volunteers to meet them in the garden to help with activities and lessons. There are two volunteer levels with different commitment expectations.
